Main Components

The main components on the system are:

CNTL 4000 (CPU) Module: Controls and manages the RMX 4000
Fabric Switch Module (FSM 4000): Performs media processing functions on the RMX 4000
AC/DC Power Supply Modules: Provides current to the RMX 4000 system
Fan Drawer: Fans provide airflow and cools the RMX 4000 system
Multi Processor Module MPMRx Cards: perform the various RTP, audio and video processing functions on the RMX 4000
RTM LAN Card(s): Routes data between the MPMRx cards and components of the system, and sends media by IP packets and provides connectivity to external IP networks
RTM IP Card: contains an Ethernet Switch that manages the network of the system
RTM ISDN Card(s): Converts ISDN T1/E1 media to IP packets and provides connectivity to external ISDN networks

Equals to port ratios and capacities of AVC H.264 1080p30.

Table 1. ISDN Resource Capacities per ISDN cardThe following table shows the numbers of ISDN-Voice or Video participants through E1 or T1 port in different bit rates per ISDN card. With up to two ISDN cards installed, the ISDN capacities can double.
